
Absolute Cabs Cobra Meeting
Absolute Cabs have just had it’s own Cobra meeting to work through and plan for the changing circumstances, led by Jaan G Saqlain Managing Director for Absolute Cabs. A number of important announcements and resolutions were made during the meeting.
COVID-19 and the current worldwide crisis
The well-being of our staff, drivers and customers is an absolute priority and we would like to assure you that our health and safety systems are robust enough to mitigate the risks associated with the coronavirus outbreak. Our customers are one of our greatest assets, and Absolute Cabs have just made a number of resolutions with regards to our ongoing service to serve people.

- Abolishing rent scheme to support drivers
- Priority bookings system for key workers
- Fixed Pricing Policy to avoid over-charging / profiteering
We are open for business
To reassure you, Absolute Cabs will remain open to serve you. This announcement is critical as part of reassurance to the general public that if you need transportation we are here. One of our considerations is supporting the movement of parcels, like we already do for the NHS and if you would like help with this, do get in touch.

- Transportation of Vulnerable People / At Risk groups
1. Your safety in mind

If you are showing signs of CoronaVirus your driver has been instructed to advise you not to travel. The current advice is self-isolation for people showing signs / symptoms of the virus.
- You can continue to book cabs with us
- Social distancing is the current Government Policy
- We advise you to sit in the back as per-normal policy
- Drivers are aware of the symptoms and will advise accordingly
- Absolute Cabs can transport persons 100s of miles direct to door in a safe way
- Be safe, following the guidelines
2. NHS Staff (Reduced Fixed Rates)

All NHS staff travelling to and from work, we will now fix our prices.
- Up to 3 miles, £4.00 fixed fare
- 3 to 10 miles, £5.00 fixed fare
- 10 to 15 miles, £10 fixed fare.
All you need to do to book is quote NHS Staff and then show your NHS ID Badge.
3. Abolishing Drivers rent

- Drivers Rent Scheme has been abolished
- Drivers are not required to pay Rent (monthly / weekly)
- This will continue until further notice
4. Self Distancing (Customers & Drivers)

The current Government advice is self-distancing:
- You can continue to book cabs with us
- Social distancing is the current Government Policy
- We advise you to sit in the back as per-normal policy
- Drivers are aware of the symptoms and will advise accordingly
- Absolute Cabs can transport persons 100s of miles direct to door in a safe way
- Be safe, following the guidelines
5. Fixed Fares (No Profiteering)

Following the update to our Nighttime 6pm to 6am Pricing Policy to have fixed fares, we are introducing this full time 24/7. The extension to this policy for day time has been brought it to address the following points:
- Safeguard pricing
- Ensure Absolute Prices are set and fixed
- Customer knows in advance the full price
- Full reassurance to customer
- No hidden charges
